I’m not quite sure what you would class me as really, I mean, I don’t really believe in God, or whatever. I think when you weigh up the possibilities or the structure of religious texts and literature you tend to find there are a lot of inconsistencies, contradictions and pure fantasy.

Don’t get me wrong, if someone wants to believe in a ‘god’ or take every element of a religious text written in an age where there was still blatant brutality and persecution as the ‘right way’ to live their life now, well then that is by their own volition.

I think there is a grander plan in all of this and that we were ‘created’ in some way, but to quantify the whole evolutionary process of the universe to a single omnipotent form I find kind of difficult to believe.

Wars are waged each day, and probably have been for the past few thousand years purely down to religious beliefs. Is it really something that people can disagree on so much that it will cause deaths?

Religion is something that should be personal to each of us. Do I think there is something with the wider concept of a ‘higher being’ somewhere within the universe? Probably. Will I have proof? No. Will going to church each Sunday make my life any better? No not really, because I spend my time with the people I love, working towards providing them with a good life.

Anyway, with the amount of rules and regulations in all the religious texts, we all on the planet have probably committed at least one sin that would get us sent to ‘hell’.

plus; if ‘God’ doesn’t like people who work on Sundays, fortunetellers and gays then he can get lost anyway, i’d rather be in hell anyways watching Derren Brown…

Of all the religious holidays, this has to be the one that is just for laughs…I studied Theology and Philosophy of religion, not even the Christians agree about Easter.

The only resurrection i’m celebrating is the one by the Stone Roses.
