The development of the Caslon typeface, I love how it has barely changed in over 250 years, just goes to show good design is timeless.

….Admittedly a quick turnaround, but seriously the other bugs me everytime I see the sign downstairs, its :/
Don’t get me wrong, I hate every single thing about this font, from its unconventional letterforms, to its over use in schools (which I ended up having an argument over its use with a colleague….I won).
Now It makes you think, why do we hate it so much? Why was it one of the first things I was told about in my degree, and warned that if I used it in any project it would be an instant fail (I think they were joking……). But most of all, can it gain redemption? Does it have a place within design somewhere?
……And those who push the boundaries of design, isn’t it the last taboo in design? To make Comic Sans look good?
