Brand Identity: The High Street Salon
The brief was to create an identity for a new development salon that will take learning out of the classroom and into the commercial world. The Salon will be part of a college based initiative to enable hair, beauty and holistic therapy students to experience the commercial environment of a real world salon. The typeface is based around Baskerville but with small typographical changes to tailor the typeface to the identity.
Triumphco is a fantastic up and coming brand that I have had the pleasure of seeing develop over the past few months, in fact I shall be interviewing the owner and designer of the brand soon! They’ve just dropped some awesome sweatshirts - and if you spend £40 you get a HUGE A0 screenprint FREE!!
Whilst you’re waiting for that, I have a bet on with the owner that I can get more likes on his facebook page - just say Jamesy sent you when you like it! (maybe there will be a prize!)
First thing I ever drew way back in 1991 (sooo I was like 8!) - without dinosaurs I may not have got this far!
I love to do pen and ink drawing. I don’t do it enough these days, these flats were fun to draw though…
One of my students, Kinga, Made a magazine for her final project - this is the cover.
Lara is the model.
