Seriously has there ever been a decade which has produced more fantastic films? Each one of the films on the list is a classic, and mostly timeless.
Also don’t forget things like Top Gun, Temple of Doom, Labyrinth and many more didn’t even make the list!
In fact, I wish I had all 20 of these films on dvd right now, because I would seriously be in danger of having something to do today, as it is I am going to have to hit Play.com and get these back in my life!
After rewatching the Goonies, I feel somewhat disappointed. It was not nearly as good as I remember, and it all felt that it was over too quickly. Thats not to say though it still isn’t a great film, just not quite as amazing as it used to seem.
If I watch Stand by Me now and it also disappoints I am considering a massive rethink of my life lol!
Another from the archive that is my hard drive, A while back (maybe 4/5 years :s) someone I knew was trying to get the Action Force (GI Joe in America) magazines republished and asked me to help out in taking the original black and whites and recolouring them for the re-release.
Although I really enjoyed getting involved in this, it was something of a very time intensive project, and unfortunately I didn’t have the time to devote to the project to do it justice. But I thought I would share a piece of the action with all of you :)
Google’s ‘Google Doodle’ Commemorating what would have been Freddie Mercury’s 65th birthday.
Just wow.
This is one of my favourite films of all time!
….and the poster is beyond badass!
However, I own the DVD and have watched it twice, because they only released a ‘special edition’ cut which added in like ten minutes of scenes that ruined the entire flow and feel of the film. I either watch it if it is on Sky (which it is a lot tbh) or I still watch the VHS I used to watch 20+ years ago :D
