Do you think design is subjective, or do you believe there are codes and conventions that designers should stick to in order to make good design. Or is there a happy medium?
I think designers have a responsibility to produce well informed and good quality design, because that is why they are designers.
There are definite conventions that all good designers should follow. All over tumblr are examples of both good and bad design, it is just disheartening when such obviously poor design is lauded :(
